It's been reported that director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) is in early talks to CLAIM the new Lestat film for Universal Pictures.
It's claimed that this isn't a remake but rather a completely new film that is from Anne Rice's second and third books “The Vampire Lestat” and “The Queen of the Damned”.
Back in '94 Tom Cruise played Lestat de Lioncourt in Neil Jordan's adaption of "Interview With the Vampire". For this upcoming film the character will be recast along with other...duh!
