UPCOMING FILM -- Oldboy Trailer

This isn't necessarily a horror movie but I'm passionate about this!

Check out the trailer for the remake of Oldboy, of course it doesn't look horrible. My issue simply is why remake such a masterpiece? To avoid spoilers, I'll just say, those who haven't seen this movie just know that it has such an insanely STRONG story line that it's hard to remake something like it. More importantly, why even try? Can't you just like the movie and watch it everyday without ruining it for everyone else? Huh, Mr. Spike Lee?

Anyhow, the release date has been changed from the October 11th, 2013 to October 25th, 2013! So, who's going to check it out?

SYNOPSIS: Oldboy tells the story of a man who is kidnapped and imprisoned on his daughter’s birthday. For fifteen years, he is held captive, and, upon his release, must begin his journey to find the reason for his imprisonment. He soon finds out that his kidnapper has plans for him more tortuous than his solitary confinement.

UPCOMING FILM -- Oldboy REMAKE

This isn't necessarily a horror movie buuuuut I had to talk about this! I think Spike Lee is a pretty cool director...at times but this is getting ridiculous! Yes, it's ridiculous because he hopped on the remake train but he's not remaking just any movie! To avoid spoilers, I'll just say, those who haven't seen this movie just know that it has such an insanely STRONG story line that it's hard to remake something like it. More importantly, why even try? Can't you just like the movie and watch it everyday without ruining it for everyone else?

It's also ridiculous because how is it "A Spike Lee joint"? Someone give me a valid reason on how it is because it's not. It's not his. Simple. He just decided to remake it.

Anyhow, it's going to hit the theaters on October 11th, 2013.

Has anyone seen the original and is anyone looking forward to seeing this?

UPCOMING HORROR -- New Evil Dead Poster

Mark your calendar, PEOPLE! APRIL 5TH, 2013 is when this film will hit the theaters. I'm sooo looking forward to seeing it! I know how some remakes can be such a disappointment but from the trailer of this film, it just screams AWESOME gorefest!

There are some lucky sons of guns who will get to see it early sometime next month at the premiere at SXSW...I just wish I was invited. Boo! Am I NOT the Queen??!

Anyhow, the film was directed by Fede Alvarez, please don't let us down! The synopsis...Five twenty- something-year-old friends get stuck in a remote cabin where, of course, they discover a book called "Book of The Dead". Somehow, not intending to, they summon demons living in the woods. These demons begin possessing some of the friends and it basically becomes a fight for their survival! How wonderful!

And! The film is rated R; so, hopefully we all can watch this movie in peace without screaming kids with braces & iPhones.

If you haven't watched the trailer for this film, do yourself a favor & do so NOW, it's below!

And if you haven't seen ANY of the original Evil Dead films, you're a disgrace and you need to go watch the originals FIRST!

Thank me later!

FILM POSTER -- The Possession

On August 31st, 2012 this awesometastical film directed by Ole Borneda will be released! I just HAD to post the film poster up...had to! For more information on the film, you can check out their Twitter or Facebook!

The Possession is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of evil. Clyde and Stephanie Brenek don't care when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she bought at a yard sale. As Em’s behavior becomes more erratic, the parents Clyde and Stephanie fear the presence of a malevolent force surrounding them. They soon discover that the box was built to contain a 'dibbuk', a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its host.

Doesn't it sound ooberly creepy? Joy! Hopefully, this is another great film on it's way to become a part of the horrific kingdom!
