So guys, we've all been hearing about Jeepers Creepers 3. Perhaps it's finally going to happen! 

UPCOMING FILM -- Oldboy Trailer

This isn't necessarily a horror movie but I'm passionate about this!
Check out the trailer for the remake of Oldboy, of course it doesn't look horrible. My issue simply is why remake such a masterpiece? To avoid spoilers, I'll just say, those who haven't seen this movie just know that it has such an insanely STRONG story line that it's hard to remake something like it. More importantly, why even try? Can't you just like the movie and watch it everyday without ruining it for everyone else? Huh, Mr. Spike Lee?




Anyhow, the release date has been changed from the October 11th, 2013 to October 25th, 2013! So, who's going to check it out?
SYNOPSIS: Oldboy tells the story of a man who is kidnapped and imprisoned on his daughter’s birthday. For fifteen years, he is held captive, and, upon his release, must begin his journey to find the reason for his imprisonment. He soon finds out that his kidnapper has plans for him more tortuous than his solitary confinement.

THE PURGE Synopsis:

If, on one night every year, you could commit any crime without facing consequences, what would you do?

In an America wracked with crime and overcrowded prisons, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity--including murder--becomes legal. The police can't be called. Hospitals suspend help. It's twelve hours when the citizenry regulates itself without thought of punishment. On this particular night in 2022, plagued by violence and an epidemic of crime, one family wrestles with the decision of who they will become when a stranger comes knocking.

UPCOMING FILM -- Oldboy REMAKE

This isn't necessarily a horror movie buuuuut I had to talk about this! I think Spike Lee is a pretty cool director...at times but this is getting ridiculous! Yes, it's ridiculous because he hopped on the remake train but he's not remaking just any movie! It's also ridiculous because how is it "A Spike Lee joint"? Someone give me a valid reason on how it is because it's not. It's not his. Simple. He just decided to remake it.

UPCOMING SHORT FILM -- Justice

There's a nail-biting thriller that is going to be filmed this month in Orlando, FL. It's called Justice! It's a short drama directed by Nathan McMahon and presented by Dark Elf Films, August Moon and Demarco Films.

SYNOPSIS: A young girl witnesses the rape and murder of her mother, which leads her into a tailspin of drugs, sex and an unending whirlwind of degradation. The man responsible, John, recently released from prison for the crime, is diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Racked with guilt, determined to seek out the girl, Heidi, he sets out on a quest to allow her the justice she deserves. Fighting through pain, overcoming any obstacle in his way, he ultimately comes face-to-face with her, in an open field, with him standing at the precipice of a recently dug grave, and hands her a gun.

"Put your past to rest".

I had the pleasure of attending one of the casting calls in a cool restaurant, surrounded by SO much talent. All of it was mind-blowing!

And people CLAIM that you need to go to LA or NYC to become an actress! So not true! I was able to talk to some of the actors/actresses as well as crew members that are part of the film! Dark Elf Films really appreciates the talent that showed up that night and blew us all away!
