Upcoming Horrors for May 2012!

It's May! So in celebration, let's talk about all the delightful horrors that are coming out this month! Whether it's straight to DVD or theaters, here is the list of horrors coming out this month! As always, if you've already checked any of the two out, please let me know; or if you plan on checking any out...let me know anyway!

Asylum Blackout (The Incident) - RELEASE DATE: May 4th, 2012
Three guys who are in a band are waiting for the big break. In between their small gigs and rehearsals, they work in the kitchen at an asylum. One night, just before dinnertime, a big storm shuts down the security system and...the doors open, letting all the inmates free. Of course, help is on the way, but who knows if they'll survive!

Juan of the Dead - RELEASE DATE: May 4th, 2012
A zombie outbreak hits Cuba on the anniversary of the revolution. So, Juan and his friends decide to set out and conquer all the zombies! These zombies just so happen to be Americans! What a coincidence.

Mother's Day - RELEASE DATE: May 8th, 2012
So...this 1980's Troma remake is about three brothers on the run from the law. The brothers decide to head home to their Mother's house but to their surprise, their Mom lost their home in a foreclosure. Their Mother is a powerful person who teaches not only her sons, but the new home owners and friends a few unforgettable lessons on the way. I loved this movie! I watched it last year with my Mom and since we have the same taste, we both enjoyed!

Dark Shadows - RELEASE DATE: May 11th, 2012
The story focuses on Barnabas Collins who transforms into a vampire after an encounter with a woman. He's buried but then gets dug up and attempts to reintegrate with his descendants! Unfortunately, for Barnabas Collins, it doesn't stay simple. He'll have many run-ins with various monsters, ghosts, and supernatural creatures.

The Road - RELEASE DATE: May 11th, 2012
A twelve year old cold case is reopened when three teens are missing on an abandoned road. During the investigation, deeper and more gruesome stories of abduction and murders are discovered. And now, after more than two decades, the secrets of the haunted road will finally be revealed. Or will they? Who knows!

Lovely Molly - RELEASE DATE: May 18th, 2012
Newleywed Molly Reynolds returns to her long-abandoned family home, where horrible reminders of a nightmarish childhood begin seeping into her new life. She soon begins to slip into more evil that blurs the lines between psychosis and possession. This film will be released limitedly.

Men in Black 3 - RELEASE DATE: May 25th, 2012
Bleh...Sci fi ISH but close enough! So I must admit...I never watched the first one, FULLLY that is, and I feel awful but it's true. And I didn't even know there was a second but hey! Anyway, so it's been 15 years with the Men in Black for Agent J. But now when K’s life and the fate of the planet are put at stake, Agent J will have to travel back in time to put things right. J discovers that there are secrets to the universe that K never told him. And these secrets will reveal themselves as he teams up with the young Agent K to save his partner, the agency, and the future of humankind! I doubt that I'll go see this but if anyone else does let know your thoughts!

Chernobyl Diaries - RELEASE DATE: May 25th, 2012
A group of friends become stranded in an eerie, in-the-middle-of-nowhere city. Years before this event, there was a nuclear disaster where nature has begun to reclaim everything. Now, as the sun sets in this radioactive ghost city, inhuman cries cut through the night air. It seems they are not alone....duh! This kinda sounds like The Hills Have Eyes...I'm sure it's filmed differently but I'm talking story line.

Happy Horror!
